S-video (Y-C)

S-video is the best available pro/consumer analogue video signal, producing the best quality pictures. It uses a similar system to component analogue video in that it splits the video signal into the luminence information (Y), and the colour information (C) and this signal is also refered to as Y-C. Formats such as S-VHS and Hi8 use this form of connection.
